I live in Burrill Lake, on the South Coast, NSW. I don't remember a time when I didn't draw or a time when I didn't need to be immersed in nature. Time spent in nature and the process of making art are vital to me. Like many others I find it unfathomable that we are destroying our own planet, our only home, and home to the animals and plants that we love. So I paint images of humans morphed with animals and plants to remind us that we ARE nature. We are just another species. If we don't have the natural world, we don't have us. The theme of my art delves into dreams, mythology, metaphysics and pop surrealism. I have shown in group and solo shows on the South Coast, in Sydney, Canberra, Far NQ and the south of France.
I have worked in illustration and design, ran a Council Art Gallery and also worked as a community artist with teenagers and with First Nations people in remote communities.
